🙌 Your Full Vegan Rosh Hashanah Menu

For me, Reader, a wonderful Rosh Hashanah has always been about that perfect balance of tradition and vision for a more playful and fun future. -The kind of table where every bite is drenched in symbolism but also, just happens to be straight-up absurdly delicious.

This year’s lineup is packing all of the hits, reimagined with a dose of the Cinnamon Snail sparkly stuff: a round challah laced with apples and pomegranate, cozy butternut squash soup to kick off soup season, and even a no-fuss tzimmes that’s secretly weeknight-friendly. From smoky harissa carrots to pie that fully replaces the usual apple cake (and then some), these recipes aren’t just holiday food, and even the goyim can get down for sure.

🙏 As they say: L'shanah tovah tikateivu ❤️

(and OMG, get ready for a table full of absolute bangers)

Round Challah with Apples and Pomegranate

Fluffy, aromatic round challah bursting with cinnamon, tart apples, and juicy pomegranate seeds. Topped with a fragrant orange blossom glaze, this loaf is unbeatable for celebrating Rosh Hashanah with sweetness and abundance.

Apple & Walnut Charoset

Bright, juicy apples meet nutty toasted walnuts in this perfectly balanced charoset, sweetened with just the right touch of cinnamon and kosher wine. It’s the mortar of tradition, but let’s be real: it’s also just really delicious.

Your 1st butternut squash soup of the year

Butternut squash soup that's easy, delicious, and straight-up cozy AF. Sage, garlic, ginger, and a handful of warming spices get simmered with coconut milk and all blended up. Ready in under 30 minutes and made even more lovely with a little crunch from seasoned squash seeds on top.

Traditional Tzimmes

This tzimmes combines tender sweet potatoes, juicy dried fruits, and a sticky, spiced glaze that’s pure alchemy. It’s a centuries-old tradition made vegan, gluten-free, and totally weeknight-friendly—no special equipment, no “fuss,” just a simple, foolproof recipe you will adore every single time.

Harissa Roasted Carrots

These roasted harissa carrots are smoky, sticky, spicy, and perfectly caramelized—everything you want in a veggie side dish. The rich, tangy yogurt cools things down while the chewy apricots and crunchy pistachios bring texture and just the right amount of sweetness.

Cinnamon Babka

Tender vegan babka with a buttery, golden crust and soft, fluffy interior swirled with brown sugar cinnamon ribbons. This sweet, braided bread is a great way to blow non-vegans' minds about how bangin' vegan baking can be!

Apple Cake can take a back seat

Since us vegans don't mess with homey, the traditional apple cake folks mess with on Rosh Hashannah is out, but that turns out to be a good thing! Made in the flakiest vegan pie crust, this pie does not even a little bit disappoint when served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Get to it!

For those of you who observe Rosh Hashanah, my family and I are wishing you a peaceful new year. And you know what, even if you don't we still are ❤️
