Hey Reader, I was thinkin' that now that the HUGE eating that typically comes with Thanksgiving is behind us, it might be rad to share some lighter, more nourishing recipes with you that my family and I love. So, today you are getting a collection of seriously delicious, very clean, and just downright EASY vegan recipes from Japan! Listen, one of the things folks LOVE about cooking Japanese food at home, is you can easily make sure there's no prosense of bonito flakes (a common dried fish ingredient tons of Japanese restaurants use), and you don't need too many exotic ingredients. These recipes use a couple, to be honest, but I included links for you in case you want to order them, as well as suggested alternatives if you want to substitute them with something that's maybe already in your pantry. First- there are a couple of very common Japanese seasonings that you can find vegan at stores, but I promise you they are stupid-easy to make at home, and I have recipes you should follow for stocking your pantry with 'em. I am talking, of course, about furikake and shichimi togarashi. Order them online if you must (actually Trader Joe's makes a passable furikake, and it's cheap), but make them yourself? Highly reccomend! 🥰 Awwwright, m'love, here's a bunch of recipes I KNOW you will like!Happy cooking, -Your vegan cooking buddy, Adam |
